OSAKA, Japan - A local group cooks a gigantic Japanese pancake Nov. 3 in Osaka city, attempting to set a new record for the largest ''okonomiyaki'' in the Guinness Book of Records. The pancake was about 8 meters wide and 3 centimeters thick, weighing about 1.6 tons. It was large enough to serve 5,000 people, the group said. The okonomiyaki pancake was made with 400 cabbages, about 4,300 eggs and nearly 90 kilograms of pork.

They are the same size as real cats and each weigh 1.6 kilograms. The robots contain various sensors which among other things allow them to memorize the frequency of human voices, so that they will face their owners when the owners call out the pet robots' names. Omron plans to sell 5,000 Necoro robots for about 185,000 yen each.
